By jove a long post ..lol

Hellooo.... well golly gumdrops a second post from me in two days ..lol .. I hope that this finds you all well ... I hope there is enough room for you all in the craft room to sit awhile and have a brew and cookies :)
I have been a busy mouse with one thing another since I last squeaked .. thank you for all the get well wishes they certainly helped :) ...
Master Bentley and I have been out and about taking photos for you ... we have been varying our walks to catch different things for you to look at ... I have even managed to take a photo of a dragonfly too .. it did help it was sunning itself on a rock at the woods ..lol otherwise there would have been no chance... we have some stunners at the canal but they are wayyyy to fast for me to capture atm ... my wee cygnets are not soo wee now, their feathers are changing to white and they are almost as big as their parents ...
The weather is changing too ... we are having some glorious autumnal days ... almost like spring in reverse .. we have had misty mornings and sparkling dew on the grass then long hot days as well ... not to mention fantastic lightning storms with hailstones and rain you couldn't see the end of your nose in... and I was driving home during that one from Ikea ... we had to pull up under a flyover for protection for about 20 mins until it had calmed down enought to drive again ... rather scary to say the least ....
Stitching wise ... well I had better make another cuppa ...lol
Lynda has received her exchange piece and I have also got mine of hers ... she stitched me " stitching Buds" by My Big Toe ...  I have yet to make it up as I can't make my mind up ... *sigh
for Lynda I stitched a freebee that I had in my freebee files with a peacock and a crown with it ... if any one recognise's the designer let me know so that I can credit to them ... I stitched hers with gloriana silk  and sent her some peacock fabric and some ribbons to match for her to choose what to do with hers ... not seen it made up yet either ..lol
I have finished off a magazine freebee from mannnyy moons ago and just need to add the stars to it ... I was going to do them in a sparkly thread but ... any hoo it is stitched on a off cut of a polstitches grab bag and I have another one to match it to stitch too ..
I have finished my "Peace on Earth" by LHN and I am in the process of back stitching them all to make up , these were stitched on Weeks Dye Works "Straw "... this is one fabric that I am not too fussed about using again in hand.. as it moves sooo much ..lol but it looks good :)
I have also finished "He's a Flake " by LHN and stitched this one on a peice of jobelan sage green ... he is ready to be cut and put together.
I have made two cushions up for Jennifer with her favourite things chickens on them ... they match the quilted runner I did for her last christmas as well as altering a couple of dress's for folks ... seee I told you I have been busy heheheh
ANNDDD I have started another quilt ... Lucy Boston EPP one .. and I love it ....its all Chris's fault as I have been watching her do hers all year and just had to start one for me ... Chris and I went to the "small" Harrogate show at the beginning of September and it was a fabulous day .. there were lots of gorgeous stuff to look at not to mention the beautiful quilts there ... I will show you a few of the ones I took piccies of on my phone camera ... I got lots of lovely small print fabrics to do the quilt with as well as a few cross stitch charts that were I must have ...lol
we made a full day of it and went for something to eat at the Weatherby Whaler and then we  got back to Chris's house and did another oooo ahhhh and love thatfabric session before settling down to start on my Lucy Boston ....
DH and I had our joint 50th birthday bash last weekend and we had an 80's  themed one with all 80's music played .. we had a fabulous night with oodles of peeps there to help us celebrate and we even danced together ..a rarity hahahahah ... needless to say the next day I spent resting ..lol We also had a 12 week old back labrador staying with us then too ... Master Bentley wasn't too sure on him .. bless his cotton paws ... he was really glad when he went home and his toys were his again ...lol
well if you have made it this far ..lol  here's another brew ...
Ma teakettle  that rug from Ikea does't stay cream with pooches around ... just saying .... I have one half original colour that is under the table and the other that Bentley lays on isn't any more hahahah ....
Hmmmm I am sure there was something else to tell you .... let me think while I find the photos for you :)

Jo's Big Birthday Blog Hop

Happpppyyyyy birthday Jo :)

Jo of  www.serendipitousstitching.blogspot.co.uk has a BIGGGG birthday happening today, she has organised a Blog hop where she has given us a year and some fun facts of herself at that year and we have to say a bit about us in that year too ...

1994 - Jo was 28.  She continued to enjoy her new hobby of cross stitching and completed her first Teresa Wentzler designs in this year.  She started with the four corner pieces from The Fantasy Sampler and moved on to The Castle.  A real rite of passage for any fantasy fan.  Following a reorganisation at work Jo made a new friend who also loved stitching and the pair of them discovered the joys of the Needlework Shop on a trip to London.  Soon after an LNS opened a few hundred yards from Jo's office.  A new place to spend lunchtimes and pay packets!

In 1994 I was 28 too ..lol  I was busy working for "Supasnaps"  printing and developing films .. and sewing too .. doing cross stitch and making clothes
I was living in Selby near the historic town of York and around that time I am sure I went to my very first cross stitch show at Harrogate at the Showground in the cricket hut ... and I have been going ever since ...lol... my stash has grown considerably since then too hahahah ...
I am trying to think what I have stitched that would appeal to Jo that I have stitched and think this one will as its a Halloweenee one .... I can't find my Just Nan peice on my camera sooo may have to remedy that before I post this hehehehe
ok i have searched the depths of my photos and I can't find it wahhhh but I am sure this one will appeal ... paws crossed .
Hope you have a fandabeedosy day and enjoy your wee gift I have sent too :)

Travelling Pattern , Stitching, Quilting and a walk...

Helllooooo ... soooo sorry to have been away from the computer for so long but life here at the mouse house has been anything but dull ...The kettle has boiled and there are some goodies for you all sooo pull up your comfy chairs and I shall begin :)
Well I have finished the travelling pattern and I really do like how I have done it .. I stitched it on a peice of Polstitches fabric .. colourful clouds I think it is ... along with at least one of the recommended threads ... the rest I winged it by looking at the photo and thinking that'll do ...lol... I took a photo of it all finished next to the pattern and after uploading it and looking at it realised I had missed a leaf !!!! DOH .... sooo back  out with the threads and the needle and it was promptly fixed :) sooooo if any one would like to be the next person this is sent to please let me know in your comment and I will pick some one next Sunday the 7th August and contact the winner .
Please don't faint but ....... my craft room is finally finished ....to an acceptable I can have visitors now and they can sit and see lots of lovely goodies out heheheheh... there are a couple of bits that need a final sort but Chris came the other night and gave it her seal of approval .... she has bagged the rocking chair when she comes to stitch ...lol its only taken me 7 months ... DH couldn't believe that it had actually happened hahahahah
Soooo now the craft room is done (ish) I got out the fabric and my squares for my birthday quilt and I have been working on it ... all the stitched bits are encased in their borders and I have started on the other blocks ... I was cutting and pressing and sewing and pressing today when ouchieeeee ... i hit the iron with my left hand index finger on the back and now I am sporting a wee burn on the finger .. the trials and tribulations of a sewer *sigh ... I gave up then and took Master Bentley out for a pootle before I could do any more damage to myself ...lol
I have stitched an exchange peice for over on my group the Friendly Stitchers  and it is all ready to be sent off for my partner Lynda to finish finish ... I can't show it you yet though but I hope that she likes it ... I have also started a christmas ornament "peace on earth " by LHN to go with my others on the fabric so that I can get them finished finished in time for Christmas and the way this year is going it will be here before we know it ...considering it happens at the same time every year you would think we would be organised for it wouldn't you ...lol
I have dug out a few must get finished and I am hoping to re start on Celtic Autumn ... I have found my quilting hoop to bob it in as I had started to bead it at the same time as stitching so it makes it difficult putting it on a normal frame due to the possibility of breaking the beads ...
I took a walk the other weekend to Wentworth and to the Wentworth Woodhouse and dropped into Elsecar and caught the steam trains stoked up :) and as usual took my camera for you to enjoy the snaps .... the following weekend I managed to actually get into the house due to a fayre going on and took some photos inside too... its a beautiful place and I can see why it was used for some of the Jane Austin films. and then I promptly became ill with tonsillitis and was off work for a few days :( told you life was anything but dull around here hahahaha
well I will refill the kettle and find some piccies for you to drool over .... will get the box of tissues ready too heheheh

I hope you enjoyed looking at the inside of the house photos ... I wish I could have gone onto the balcony but we weren't allowed ... the rooms you see are only part of it there was loads more but they were not accessible on the day .... when I got to Elsecar they had the steam train smoking and it was fun to see it and smell it too ... it was a lovely day out but boy did I know I had pootled a wee bit too much that day ... ho hum ....
well my dears I had better finish now and get ready for my beauty sleep ...I hope every one has a wonderful stitchy week and I shall be bobbing over to see you all asap :) take care one and all :) love mouse xxxxxx
